I am LOVING the texture trend that we seem to be seeing everywhere at the moment, the texture feature in this august edition of elle (check page 55) especially made my heart melt. After seeing that I felt compelled to create a wish list based around how I would wear this trend, so I did some online window shopping (a tough job but someone has to do it) and found these 6 to die for texture pieces!

  1. Acne Studios V Neck Jumper

Swedish fashion house Acne is a personal favorite of mine, and although I am yet to own anything from the iconic brand this jumper is definitely tempting me! This is such a subtle and understated way to wear the texture trend, it doesn’t scream texture but it does ooze it. Simply wear over a pair of black fitted jeans/trousers for a casual look or build texture by placing it over a roll neck and under a coat or jacket.

2. Urban Outfitters Bamboo Texture Earrings

5761387932504_007_bI am a big fan of hoop earrings, I adore the way they can dress up an outfit and completely change the vibe of an ensemble and these bamboo texture earrings are no exception. Pair them with absolutely anything to add a hint of texture to your look!

3. Underground Apollo Creepers                                                                       UM-P001X-BKL.WHL_.jpg

I just had to include the iconic Apollo Creepers by Underground, they’re visually stunning and can I just add that Underground shoes are so comfy too! This style of shoe is incredibly versatile and can be added to make an outfit look smarter, or even to subtly make an outfit look more punk. Underground may not make the cheapest of shoes but I can assure you that they are worth the money, I received my first pair of creepers as a Christmas present when I was 15 and I am now 19 and still wear them to this day.

4. Zara Patchwork Jumper

Does anything epitomizes texture as much as patchwork? Its hard to say no looking at this jumper. This style is something a little bit different for Spanish retailer Zara, straying from their iconic sleek and smart casual collections to producing something a little more slouchy yet refreshing.

5. Topshop Faux Teddy Fur Bag

Its impossible to look at this bag and not get flashbacks of Y2K jean skirts and flip phones *shudders* but this bag transforms noughties style in to something modern, fresh and textured.

6. Topshop Pompom Mules

Topshop is a high street retailer that we can always rely on being at the forefront of upcoming trends and this is no different. There was so many shoes that showcase texture it was difficult to decide what to feature, I eventually settled on these wine flat mules after not recalling seeing any other shoes like this online or on the high street.
